This client in London wished to entirely replace these remarkable 120 year old french-door-integrated bay windows, like-for-like. You will see how this section is transformed into a modernized exact copy, not to mention that the glazing was upgraded from single to double without changing the design, which is a lengthy process that we are pleased to have undertaken.
Bay Windows and French Doors Before
The Process
After removal of the frame, the overhang required ceiling support (as shown below) during installation. The wooden floorboards were also 120 years old, so we were careful to not scratch or damage them in the process. How wonderful to know that timber can last this long!

And then we get to the final result! Factory-manufactured yet carefully hand-finished, it offers a true meaning of bespoke. The arched detailing in the top row of windows is very elegant and we are glad that the client intended to keep the old design.
Satin chrome was the colour of choice for the irongmongery, and double glazed glass units all-round, as is standard with our products. The pine French doors are also host to the very effective KFV multipoint locking system, therefore this case study exhibits home improvement in terms of both thermal efficiency and security.
Please read below a very kind review this client had left us.
Bay Windows and French Doors After
"We asked the Woodyman team if they were able to replicate our 120 year old French doors & windows into our garden. They were sure that they could create identical new doors in hardwood with double glazing.
When we saw the new doors we were amazed. They were almost completely identical in appearance to the old ones but made a cold, drafty room much warmer. The fitting process was done professionally, the guys were respectful, polite and clean.
And the price is cheaper than several other quotes we had.
Thank you. Woodyman!" ~Anne-Marie Brennan
